Chlöe Grace Moretz Proves More Is More When It Comes to Blusher

You should see our archived Instagram posts right now. Yes, we all have saved numerous product swatches and hilarious memes to whip out at a later date, but another common thread amongst each of the Byrdie team's Insta folders proves we have a shared love of celebrity beauty looks.

While I bookmark every single thing Yara Shahidi does to her face, social media editor Alyss has pretty much every single hairstyle in Alexa Chung's back catalogue saved to her phone. And as for editorial director Amy? She's all about the Olivias: Munn, Palermo and Culpo.

But rather than let these incredible images gather virtual dust, we thought we'd start sharing our favourite celebrity beauty looks each and every week with you, too. And if there's anyone else that you think is killing it with their hair or makeup right now, come tell us in The British Beauty Line, our dedicated Facebook group.

Chlöe Grace Moretz

This week, Chlöe Grace Moretz surprised us all by pulling this mega-makeup look out of the bag. With all the component parts of Kenzo's S/S 17 beauty look, Moretz wore fuchsia pink blusher that draped from the tops of her cheekbones round onto her eyelids, as well as glossy pillar-box-red lipstick and intense black eyeliner. Who says you should only go big on one feature? Want to try this draping blush trend? We have the how-to video you need.

Sasha Lane

We've been lining our lower waterlines in white pencil in a bid to make eyes look brighter for years now, but Sasha Lane has us considering revisiting its use on the upper eyelid, too. At this weekend's Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival closing night, the actress wore a slash of white liquid liner above the upper lash line. She finished off the look with a little spark of white shimmer in the inner corner of the eye. Magical.

Tracee Ellis Ross

In between tea-stained washes and taupe-toned clouds, we rarely give time to bright, bold eye shadow shades-but what an oversight that is. Case in point? Tracee Ellis Ross's electric-pink eye shadow look that she showcased on her Instagram feed this week. Like a little painterly splodge on the outer corners of her eyelids, it felt cool. But what else would you expect from such a queen?

Yara Shahidi

At this weekend's MTV Movie and TV Awards, Yara Shahidi teamed a major '80s-style pastel blue suit with this rich, sumptuous midnight-blue eye shadow look. With a slight winged-out effect and the tidiest application we've ever seen, it looked super-refined.

Jasmine Sanders

Deep indigos and bright cobalts are often the shades in our eye shadow palettes that we tend to neglect. Either we're a bit scared of blue eye shadow's retro connotations or we simply haven't a clue what to do with it. Well, now we do. Jasmine Sanders (aka Golden Barbie) wore the most incredible winged-out Majorelle-blue eye shadow to this year's CDFA awards and it was an absolute masterpiece. Of course, it was created by celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo, no less.

Neelam Gill

We might have turned in all our dark, brooding lipstick shades when the clocks changed for spring, but Neelam's look from this week's Cartier event is making us considering bringing a burgundy back into our summer rotation.

I used warm rust tones to give the effect of a smouldering eye without being too dark."
